Johnny Cuellar joined the CeleBreak team in 2017 after having moved to Barcelona from his native San Miguel de Tucumán, Argentina, where he was born and raised. True to the CeleBreak lifestyle of combining football and fun, Johnny stumbled upon a flyer offering pick-up football games in the city organized by CeleBreak.

A former civil engineering student of the Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña, he is the embodiment of field-smarts and book-smarts. Having played football since he was a young boy, motivated and inspired by his father’s passion for the game, Johnny played all throughout his childhood and teenage years inspired by players from his favorite football club, FC Barcelona. An all-star midfielder during his days as a player for various league teams during his youth he shined as a star player, picking up many of the skills and disciplines that are apparent in his hosting and playing style.

Having moved to Barcelona motivated by his sister who was already residing there, the flyer was a godsend since he was dying to play but didn’t know where, when, or with whom. Starting first as a player, joining matches and getting to know new people, he went on to become one of CeleBreak’s first Match Hosts, overseeing the matches played throughout the city.

With sharp instincts for fair-play, good sportsmanship and all-around fun football and motivated by a sense of humility and passion for football, he is a pro at conveying CeleBreak’s principles and values on and off the pitch with all of our players!
